100+1 – Alberto Rosselli per Saporiti Italia is a tribute to the visionary work of Alberto Rosselli, one of the key figures of Italian design and art director of Saporiti Italia from 1966 to 1976.
Hosted at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, the exhibition presents one hundred unique interpretations of Rosselli’s iconic Jumbo armchair, re-imagined by a selection of international studios.
For this project, S20M was invited to reinterpret a Jumbo armchair, developing a contemporary vision that reflects Rosselli’s experimental approach to form, structure and materials.
Our contribution explores the intersection between craft and digital fabrication, transforming the original piece into a sculptural object that enhances its architectural presence while maintaining its essential proportions.
The result is a one-off edition created specifically for the exhibition: a design intervention that pays homage to Rosselli’s research while asserting a clear, present-day perspective on materiality and spatial expression.
